European Maritime Days

European Maritime Day serves as an opportunity to celebrate "maritime Europe" by highlighting the diversity of sea-related activities across the continent. It aims to raise awareness among European citizens about the crucial role of the seas in daily life and to spark reflection on their significance.

The event brings together Europe’s maritime community to network, discuss, and collaborate on maritime issues and the sustainable blue economy. It is a key platform for "Ocean Leaders" to meet, providing an interactive experience on a wide range of topics related to the blue economy and marine environment. Participants can expect inspirational speakers, thematic sessions, stakeholder workshops, exhibitions, and numerous networking opportunities. The event targets professionals from business, government, NGOs, academia, and EU citizens interested in maritime affairs.

Additionally, the EMD 2025 will feature the third annual Fisheries and Ocean Dialogue, organized by the European Blue Forum.

The event is organized by the European Commission, Cork City Council, and the Irish Ministry of Environment, Climate, and Communications.
