MPA Community Network
The MPA Community Network is an umbrella initiative developed to centralise and connect MPA-related projects across Europe, as well as fostering collaboration among MPA managers, stakeholders, and conservation experts. This initiative seeks to reduce fragmentation, improve coordination, and enhance networking for more effective marine conservation.
Core components
The Networking Platform (Working Group on BlueBioMatch) is space for MPA managers to connect, share experiences, and collaborate with key stakeholders, while staying informed on the latest tools, research, and methodologies. By joining today, you will gain early access to key updates, resources, and discussions, ensuring you do not miss important developments that could benefit your work.
2) The Website
The website serves as the public-facing information space of the network. It provides an overview of participating projects, updates on network activities, and opportunities for engagement and collaboration. Visitors can also access key resources developed through the initiative, as well as relevant contact points. In addition, the website will host the MPA Solutions Hub upon its public launch.
The MPA Solutions Hub will be a central hub designed to gather and organise:
- Tools
- Best practices
- Case studies
- Guidelines from various EU-funded projects
- Resources developed
The MPA Solutions Hub will serve as a one-stop resource for MPA managers, ensuring easy access to critical information based on context specific selection support and reducing duplication across initiatives.
