A more business-oriented approach was taken to ensure marine conservation in this MPA. Local fishers of the area developed specific fishing tourism, providing tourists with a traditional fishing experience and educating them on fish gastronomy. This significantly increased their incomes while also enhancing the preservation of the natural environment.
