The 11 Information Sites provide a representative overview of the diversity of Marine Protected Areas and MPA networks across Europe. They played a key role in establishing the European MPA baseline, contributing insights into existing management approaches, challenges, and tools. These insights continue to inform the project by helping to identify current practices, as well as gaps and opportunities for improvement.
